Pages: 144
Photographs: 80 colour photographs

Kaffe Fassett needs no introduction to knitters, nor does hisuniquely brilliant colourwork. He is the undisputed master ofsubtle and glorious colour ombinations, but his patterns depend onthe yarns being available if you wish to copy these exactly, asmost knitters do. Rowan has taken the unique step of deciding togive Kaffe the chance to redesign and recolour 24 of his favouriteRowan designs in the current range of Rowan classic yarns, such astheir pure wool Scottish Tweed and the Rowan pure wool and cottonranges.
Kaffe has chosen to recolour some of his existing designs or forthe more complex designs, reinvent them as cushions or throws tomake them accessible to less experienced knitters, who still want atouch of Kaffe?s magic.

Born in San Francisco, Kaffe settled in England in 1964 and workedas an artist. On a trip to Scotland he stumbled on an irresistiblecollection of coloured yarns. A few months later he was hooked andproceeded to knit and stitch himself a career.
Kaffe is the first living textile artist to have a one man show atthe V&A museum in London. He has written many highly regardedknitting, patchwork and needlepoint books, including his first andmost renowned bestselling Glorious Knitting, with photographerSteve Lovi.
