Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Credit card details are recorded on a secure server. Alternatively, if you already have an account with us, use the 'Payment on Approved Account' option in the checkout.

Some items on our online store may not be available from stock at our Cambridge shop, but they can usually be made available within 24 hours. Some online store prices may differ from prices in our Cambridge shop.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we post you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
We can deliver to any address in mainland England, Wales and Scotland with items usually delivered within 3 to 5 working days.

There will need to be someone present at the delivery location as our courier will require a signature.

Orders over £75 inc VAT have free delivery*
Smaller orders will have the following delivery charges:
£6.90 inc VAT for orders with no items over 1.5m long
£9.95 inc VAT for orders with items over 1.5m long (ladders etc) and under 3m.

*Free Delivery Exceptions
Certain very heavy and or very bulky items are marked as unavailable for purchase directly over the internet. Please phone our sales department on 01223 517000 for a quotation and delivery charges.

Deliveries within the Cambridge area:- we deliver daily to postcode sectors CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4 and CB5. Stock items are normally delivered next working day and non-stock items within 3 working days, (please phone to check availability if you are travelling to our store).

Dangerous and exceptionally heavy items
Certain items are not available for purchase on this online store either because they are too dangerous to post (e.g. fireworks) or exceptionally heavy (e.g. steel beams). We can deliver these within a 25-mile radius of Cambridge, using our own vehicles - please telephone us on (01223) 517000 or contact us for a quote on delivery.

Ladders - important note
We request that customers fully inspect ladders before signing for them as having been received in good condition.
Due to their bulky nature damage does on occasion occur, and we are unable to give a refund or replace goods that have been signed for as delivered in good condition.
Tax Charges VAT - VAT is charged at the rate prevailing at date of invoice (currently 17.5%). For export sales which are VAT exempt please phone our sales department on 01223 517000 for a quotation and delivery charges.

Returns Policy If the item is not faulty, but you decide you do not want it.
We aim to provide you with as much information as we can about each product so that you can make an informed purchasing decision.
However, to give you additional confidence, we will allow you to return any stock item if it is not what you require within 7 days of receipt as long as it has not been used, is undamaged, and is returned in its original undamaged packaging.

We will refund to you any part of the price that we have received (excluding the delivery costs), provided the item(s) are normally held in stock and have not been ordered specifically from the manufacturer or supplier, have not been tailored to your specifications, or personalised, or the item(s) by their very nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate.

You will have to pay the cost of returning the goods to us. You will need to arrange the return with us prior to sending the goods back as we do not accept goods back without prior authorization. Items requested to be returned after 7 days will incur a 20% restocking charge.

Please NOTE:- We cannot accept for return and refund Non - Stock items, those items ordered to your specification specifically from the manufacturer or supplier, tailored to your specifications, or personalised, or by their very nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate, as we are unable to return these to our suppliers.

Faulty, Incorrectly Supplied and Damaged Items
If an item has been incorrectly supplied, received damaged or is faulty (or becomes faulty within its warranty period) then please 'phone us to arrange its return. On receipt of the item, we may (at our discretion) replace, repair or simply refund the value of the goods and any carriage costs.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
